    Description

      Problem Definition

If you insert a JIRA project web link in the Space Shortcuts menu, the link isn't transformed as it happens when you create a "Software project space" template.

      Steps to reproduce
      1. Create an AppLink.
      2. Create a new "Software Project Space".
      3. Link to a JIRA project.
        • The shortcut will be successfully created(JIRA logo and text converted).
      4. Click on the "Space Tools" button.
      5. Select "Configure Sidebar"
      6. Insert the project link(Web Link option).
      7. Results: The link won't have the JIRA logo and you will have to edit manually the link text.

      Suggested Solution

Confluence should handle JIRA links automatically. This would prevent having to change the text of the link manually. There's a similar improvement ticket just for the logo:https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFSERVER-42611.

      Why this is important

This would avoid having to change the link manually as Confluence would do it own its own
