      Summary

When restricting the content type in a live-search macro, the auto-complete search results follow the content type. However, when the use presses "Enter" or clicks the magnifying glass button, the search results include all content with no content type filter.

      Steps to reproduce

      1. Add LiveSearch Macro to a page
      2. Under Content type to include in search option, restrict the results to only Pages
      3. Save the page and perform live search
      4. Choose See More Results

      Expected Result

Confluence Search page is showing only results of pages.

      Actual Results

Confluence Search page is showing results of pages, blog posts and attachments.

      Workaround

Manually set the content type from the sidebar.

Why is there still no official statement about this? This bug is really annoying, as the means of leading to good search results are limited anyway.

Changing the GET parameter to type doesn't work for us. We couldn't find a param that does the job for this.

The issue seems to be that the livesearch macro is broken, and using "contentType" instead of "type" in the form field:

Switching this input field to "type" instead of "contentType" results in the proper filtering.

I would appreciate if this bug would be fixed. It is counter-intuitive that the two types of searching would not produce the same results. Thank you.

            Reproducible on 6.2.1 as well
