Page editor flickers in IE11

Summary

When editing a page using IE11 in Confluence 6.0.x, the page flickers with every key typed into the editor. In Confluence 6.1.x, the issue is triggered with every click in the page editor.

So far, this behaviour seems to only occur in IE11 on Windows 10 (Version 1607 – Build 14393), but may affect later versions.

Issue is not seen in Windows 10 (Version 1511).

Steps to replicate

1. Install Confluence on Windows 10 (Version 1607).
2. Create a page with this storage format (Use the Confluence Source Editor to insert the storage format):
