CURRENT BEHAVIOUR
Synchrony tables are append-only at this time. As the tables increase in size they may become too large for some databases which could cause performance issue while saving pages.
It would me convenience if we introduce a Scheduled job to empty Synchrony tables in Confluence in order to improve the performance.
WORKAROUND
Truncate the Synchrony tables as discussed in the knowledge base article below:
