      For example:
Sony wants to put out a calendar of all their PR events. Sony's followers may not have accounts on the particular confluence instance and are thus anonymous users.

Currently the "MyCalendars" button is hidden from anonymous users.

Workaround: Embed the calendar link into whatever page or home page anonymous users have view access to using the steps from How to add Team Calendars for Confluence with anonymous access in the Dashboard

I am no longer surprised to see 5-10+ year old issues never being addressed anymore. It's really sad even when they have a lot of votes.

Update for all who are interested, per CONFSERVER-51628 it is possible to do this:

You must not include "Sprints" when defining your event type in Team Calendars, doing so requires authentication to Jira even if the project is public.

See Team Calendars does not display public Jira Issue events to non logged-in anonymous users for more information.

            Sincerely,

This is still an issue and would be a big help to our program if this could be fixed. This should have the same functionality as the Jira Issue macro. Anonymous users are allowed to see public issues via the Jira issue macro, but the exact same Jira filter in the team calendar nothing shows up.

As an addendum to this, it'd be great if Jira issues shown on an anonymously accessible Team Calendar didn't need their project's permission scheme modified such that Group: Anyone can have Browse permission. There should be a way to just expose the summary and dates for a team calendar, rather than the issue and all other data to anonymous users.

Hello, we are experiencing same issue.  Even though everything is configured correctly, users are still prompted to login when trying to view the calendar.  We're on version 5.10.2   Thanks

@bVector we have visited your page and It seems you have accomplished to show the content for anonymous use. We have set the can use for use confluence anonymous user and the space permissions for view, but it still is not working. Do you have any tips for us?

Ah I missed the part where you said 'embedded in the page'. This is an OK workaround, but I'd really like to see this get fixed properly.

Here's the permissions on the following page: http://i.imgur.com/4pSXln8.png
And viewing as not logged in, there is no Calendars tab on the left: https://nullspace.atlassian.net/wiki/display/NSL/Nullspace+Home

A direct link to the calendar also prompts a login page instead of the calendar

ikillrl AFAIK, if anonymous user has view permission on confluence as well as a space, that user can visit the page where calendars are embedded in. To achieve this, administrator should:

            • Provide "can use" permission of "Confluence Use" for anonymous user under Global Configuration.
            • Configure space permission so that anonymous user can view that space.

Then anonymous user can visit the page in space where administrator has granted permission as above and view the calendar embedded in that page.
