Hi chris.shorb2028303607, just hover over the event type and click the ellipsis (...) that appears to the right. It'll give you a palette of colors to choose from.

Hello - can you please point to the help article that tells us how to color code an event type? My Edit Event Types interface does not allow me to do so. I am using Chrome on a Win7 machine.

For me, my request (to start) is A - color code an event type.

This has been an issue since OCTOBER 2011!? In JIRA it's extremely simple to change epic colors (they are very limited options though). I'd recommend putting this as a higher priority. Seems like this would be an almost simple to implement, and high value for your customers.

We are looking for this solution as well. Our calendars, as we use them more and more, are getting more and more confusing to read and organize. Can this be escalated for development sooner than later? It looks to have been open for nearly five years now. Thank you in advance!

Agreed this feature is essential! You may not get a response from their support. My past experiences have not been great with their support.

Please increase the priority of this. We need the ability to specify the color of Event Types, so that we can make the more important ones jump off the page.

dpanepinto The functionality you're requesting is already available (it was introduced in TC version 5.0). Be sure to update to the latest version of TC.

We need the ability to color code custom events. Since custom events are all lumped together using the Event format, they aren't much use if you can't customize them in any way or at least assign a color to each event type. Agree with others that this is prohibiting many from using this feature at all and it seems like this has been on the board for longer than necessary.

Upping the priority on this would be nice, We are coming up on 4 years for this one.

Agree with all the ideas on color coding - This would be super useful and allow us to utilize the team calendar feature.

Being able to visually distinguish by colour in the calendar would allow us to see who is on leave, working on projects, in meetings in a much more efficient way.

Adding my vote. Am getting asked about this regularly by users.

hello! without color coding the calendar feature is not useful to me. it has me considering other platforms for my project. please let me know if you get this assigned to a dev with a higher priority. this is a relatively trivial dev task.

Please up the priority - this is preventing us from using this tool more widespread ... at this point looking for alternatives and thinking about not renewing the lic for this add on.

My organization wants color coding for sure. The lacks of it is keeping us from using Team Calendars.

Note that with the addition of Custom Events in TC 5.0 you can define custom events with a chosen colour. This should help in many of your cases (but you can't define a colour for a specific event within an event type).

We would appreciate this feature as well. Will help the team to identify individual events easily.

I just started creating a Master calendar for our organization for all major events. Not being able to control the colors of these events leaves me with a very blue calendar. Is there any update on how soon we can see this?

We would like to implement Team Calendars, but the lack of editable colours is a bit of a blocker.

Color code or even if we can make it bold / Italics / or may be change font etc so that some of the things can be differentiated from others. Background color / foreground color, anything will help.

Hi, we raised a question regarding this featured too (https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/164277/categories-in-team-calendar). We are really interested in different color codes and categories in one calendar. Is there any information when or if this feature will be implemented?

We would greatly benefit as we have a need for the same thing. For example, out of office due to PTO being different than unavailability due to sales calls, conference attendances, demos, travel, etc. Very similar to out other calendaring categorization functions.

This issue would be of high value for us.
for example Public holidays in red, events in green, meetings blue, seminars & workshops yellow, Training orange....
