Confluence REST API documentation missing "API" for listed resources

Summary

All the endpoints in the Confluence REST API documentation are missing the "API" part of the URL. However, using the resources without "API" will hit into 404 page not found error.

Also, the latest REST API documentation available is for version 6.60 while the latest Confluence version available at the moment is 7.1.0

Expected behavior

The endpoints in the documentation should be (like the ones for Cloud):

• GET /rest/api/audit
• GET /rest/api/content

Actual behavior:

The endpoints in the documentation are missing /api/ from the URL:

• GET /rest/audit
• GET /rest/content
