    Description

NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      Problem Definition

JavaScript or dynamic customizations are not rendered in PDF Exports. This is probably a limitation of the PDF box library, where only the static HTML and CSS code is rendered in exported PDFs.

      Suggested Solution

Confluence could execute any dynamic code before the PDF is exported.

      Why this is important

This would be useful for customers that want to add the current date or any other dynamic content in exported documents.

      Workaround

Since only HTML code is rendered, the workaround is to hardcode the date which could be dynamically set by a JavaScript function.
