      STEP TO REPRODUCE THE ISSUE

      1. Create a page template in a Confluence Space.
      2. Insert a Code Block Macro in the template.
      3. Insert a variable (exp: $author) in the Code Block Macro.
      4. Save the template.
      5. Create a page using the template.
      6. Save the page.

      EXPECTED BEHAVIOUR
      The variable exists in the Code Block Macro.

      ACTUAL BEHAVIOUR
      The variable disappears in the Code Block Macro.
