      Summary

      In JIRA if you right click -> "Open image in new tab" on an attachment, the image will load. If you wait ~10 minutes and refresh the page or send the link to another user, they will receive an error about the Token being expired and verification failing.

      Environment

      • JIRA v1000.610.2 - Cloud

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Open issue with an image attachment
      2. Right click image and select "Open image in new tab"
      3. Wait 10 minutes
      4. Refresh page

      Expected Results

      • Image attachment shows up - extend token up to an hour at least

      Actual Results

      Receive the following error:

      {"error":{"code":"UnauthorizedError","title":"Token verification failed: jwt expired","href":"https://media-api.atlassian.io#UnauthorizedError"}}

      Notes

      If you just view the image attachments within JIRA there's no timeout issue.

      Workaround

      • View image attachment in JIRA directly
