At mentions are replaced with a link to the page when cut/copy/paste page contents

      Steps

      1. I created an empty meeting notes page (using meeting notes blueprint)
      2. Copy paste content from the previous meeting notes page (from a different confluence site)
      3. Make changes then publish the page

      Expected results
All the at mentions are for the right people

      Actual results
Any at mention that was copied across from the previous page has been converted into a link to the current page.

      Note
In Firefox, Adding and Copy/Paste the user mentions from the same page to the different location in the page will also convert the user mentions link to the current page link.

      Workaround:

      • Use a different browser (Chrome, Safari or IE).
      • Use Source editor to copy user mention link block, and then place it in the desired page on the right spot with Source editor.
        eg. <ac:link><ri:user ri:userkey="2c95b09a672ba3b901672bac0dd80XXX" /></ac:link>

This is another case where Confluence javascript is buggy and is not tested beyond Chrome.

Please fix this bug as it does wipe out data.

I (we) also have this issue, or at least a similar one (6.12.1). And I agree, if you use firefox & user mentions, it's a gigantic pain.

I'm glad that at least there's the workaround of using chrome.

            Hi,
And with Chrome or IE, it works ... but the copy/paste doesn't keep the style of the paragraph : the selected line is always moved to "Paragraph" style even if the original line was under "Heading 2" for example.
... except if you copy/paste the expected line + the following one's (not the previous one) !
            Our Confluence version is 6.13.9
And for using Firefox, it is not a minor bug !

Affects Confluence Server version 7.1.0 as well (our internal issue IA-2005).

            yes. not minor.

I just had to update 47 @mentions manually and 5 minutes later had o the same for my frustrated manager.... ..... i wasted part of my life....

Or do i need to suggest my management to use some different system?

This issue is making me crazy...

I need many times copy paste colleagues names and than manually update the @mentions  - you can imagine how happy it is if there is 30 people in list.....

            This really need solution!
