Description
Summary
Middle mouse button paste on Linux does not paste the specified copied string. This issue happens when a page contains tables. Should there are any modifications to Confluence page content that happens between copying action and pasting action, the clipboard will change to the newly modified content
Environment
- Linux
- Firefox
Steps to Reproduce
- Edit a page
- Have a string "test". Block with mouse and copy using Ctrl+C
- Create a new 3x3 table
- Paste the string using middle click in any cell. This is alright
- Modify the table by adding a row/column
- Paste the string again using middle click in any cell
Expected Results
The string "test" will be copied to the correct cell
Actual Results
The copied content will be the content of the whole page after modifying the table (step 5 above)
Notes
- See the video clipboard.ogv for more clarifications
- It seems to copy anything from the cursor position up to the top of the table
Workaround
Do not use middle click button for pasting
