It is very likely that after sharing a page with someone, that page name will be changed. The hyperlink in the "share email" will then be out of date and when the user clicks to go view the page, the Page Not Found error they see isn't a very good user experience.

Seems reasonable to embed the tiny link in the email's hyperlink instead and completely remove this potential bad experience.

      Issue Description

As the link generated in the email is a static page URL, if there is changes in the page title after the email notification is sent, the page won't be accessible by the link directly anymore.

      Expected Result

User get redirect to the correct page

      Actual Result

User received a "Page Not Found" message as the title of the page is no longer the same.

      Suggested Resolution

Using a tiny URL or pageid will be a better approach.

[CONFSERVER-41353] URL sent when sharing a page should use tiny link or PageID
