Multi Excerpt gives errors after it is edited; can only be fixed via page preview

Strange issue.

I installed multi-excerpt macro.

It was working.

I then noticed error when I would edit the multi excerpt: "Multiexcerpt "excerpt_name" not found. Note that nested multiexcerpt macros are not supported."

If I then saved - or cancelled - that edit, and saved - or "closed" the page without saving, I would get errors from then onwards on the source page (the one with the excerpt) and the include page (the one with the multi excerpt include). FRUSTRATING

I then noticed if I did a page preview and saved it, it would fix the error. Weird.

This error, along with CONF-40499 means that I have wasted HOURS with simple attempts to display info from multiple pages on a summary page using page properties reports and/or multi-excerpt includes. now that I know a page preview will fix it I have a workaround but these two bugs need to be fixed for this system of excerpt/include, page properties/report to work!!
