When logged in as an Administrator, and attempting to adjust the permissions of a space in Confluence (Server:Confluence 5.8.5)
I add the user or group (using "Edit Permissions"), and then check the boxes for the permissions I want to grant. I then click on "Save All" which fades and the page does not update and the button becomes unresponsive, I can still navigate around the page, check boxes, and even go to other parts of the site. The "Save All" button remains faded and the changes do not apply, even on a refresh.
I need to be able to adjust permissions for spaces.

added a comment - I had initially listed it as Major, however, I upgraded it to Critical as I came to realize that there are spaces that must be controlled as information stored there is not to be seen by specific subsets of users. please reconsider re-upgrading this to a critical issue.

While that similar ticket has a resolution of "use a different browser" and might help, my group names do not contain spaces, therefore it is not a duplicate bug, being technical about it. never the less, I also found a work-around.
If I click the "ADD" button of the section I'm working on, it applies the changes as would be expected by the "save all" button. So I've found myself a work-around and thought I'd share it here. Works in Chrome.
