      This is actually a known bug for PDFBox https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PDFBOX-2428. The issue cause large amount of error in the logs when indexing certain PDF.

      2015-09-03 15:55:22,673 ERROR [Indexer: 4] [apache.fontbox.ttf.TrueTypeFont] initializeTable An error occured when reading table hmtx

      upgrading to 2.0.0 does remove the error from the logs, but it cause the PDF file not being indexed.

      Possible Workaround:
      replace the fontbox and pdfbox with version 1.8.4
