      NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      We use the Confluence viewfile macro to render office documents like word, ppt,xls, etc. Typically the source is an attachment to that confluence page. This is the most widely used macro within our teams.
      Now we have the challenge that the source is external - not an attachment but probably a remote share. Is there already support for such a feature?
