When exporting a page that contains an image with a link to another page, the image is lost in the exported html format and replaced with wiki-style code and a link to the target. We expect that the image is maintained with the link.

[!image!|link to page] gets turned into <a href="link to page">Unable to render embedded object: File (image) not found.</a> .. not quite right..

      Original report came from CSP-1393.

            Hi Tim,

If you are still experiencing this problem, could you please raise a new bug report? Atlassian staff generally do not keep an eye on closed/resolved issues; it was only by chance that I noticed your comment this morning.

            Cheers,
            Joe.

This issue is not yet fixed in my Version: 2.4.4 Build:#707 Apr 01, 2007. I am trying to export a page with links to external URL images, but the image does not display, rather the error message "Cannot resolve external resource into attachment", which looks like this is the HTML page:

            <a href="http://www.myspace.com/sample"><span class="error">Cannot resolve external resource into attachment.</span></a>

As you can see the for some reason, the URL linking to an external image just won't come through ...

This issue has been open over a year and nothing has been done.

I just export a family of pages to HTML and some of them lack their graphic file attachments.
