      Problem Definition

As a user, there is no ability to currently bulk move pages across spaces in Confluence

      Suggested Solution

Provide an ability to move pages, much as currently exists in JIRA for moving issues

      Workaround

      No current workaround

[CONFSERVER-38965] As an admin, provide the ability to move multiple pages

For those who needs to reorganize their pages in a flexible and fast way, you may want to check out our Bulk Move Pages utility

It is not just an app for moving pages. With Canned Search for Confluence Data Center, your users can

            1. save time with more accurate search results and less clicks
            2. preview image thumbnails in their search results
            3. search only content from child or descendents pages instead of the entire space/site
            4. save the searches for subsequent use in their personalised search console
            5. avoid users to perform commonly used searches with canned filters for (e.g. search for PDF, Powerpoint, Images, comment, etc)
            6. embed reports in Confluence pages using saved search queries
            7. create dashboards on Confluence with colorful "gadget" macros
            8. increase knowledge discoverability and quick access to related pages with navigation buttons

We hope this app can make Confluence a preferred platform for storing knowledge by making it easy for users to access/search/discover/organize knowledge on it. If you have a requirement or any suggestions, you can let us know 😊

It would be really great if this feature was finally implemented for the anniversary after 10 years in ā€œGathering Interestā€ status and you don't have to use add-ons. Unfortunately, it is very clear that the DC versions (with constantly rising costs) are only being developed to a very limited extent.
            Yes, I know: Cloud first
And I don't think anyone here seriously expects this anymore.

Back in the days before these fancy Confluence releases with UI changes, there was a feature of Page Hierarchy or something, in the page properties. It was possible to multi-select pages and drag them where you want in the page tree. Can't get it why now with the new releases  functionality degrades over time.

            Hi,

We have added UI support for bulk moving for Confluence pages.
That will enable users to reorganize pages within the space without the tedious process of moving 1 page by 1 page.

I thought this is relevant to this issue, so I am sharing the news here.

            Benefits

The benefits of keeping the pages organized:

            • Productivity gain from time hunting for information
            • Search results can be more precise by localising the Search in Child Pages/Descendents
            • Address the 1024 clauses limit in Page Properties Macro and Content by Label Macro (CONFSERVER-59315)
            • Facilitate archival and preparation for Cloud migration

            Use Cases

These are use cases that led us to build this feature

            • To reorganise meeting minutes by year
            • To dividing pages from 1 space into multiple spaces (e.g split into multiple product team, department reorganization)
            • To reorganise a flat space that evolved into a messy space

            Easy and simple

It is easy to move pages

            1. Go to the Parent page
            2. Access the Bulk Move Pages option from the Page Menu
            3. Use a filter to select the pages to move
            4. Uncheck those matching pages which should be excluded
            5. Select the Destination Parent page
            6. Click the Move button

+1 this costs a lot of time to manually move pages one by one.
