Flash File (.swf) Not Playing In Multimedia Macro Due To Taking Too Long To Load

      Summary

      Flash files in (.swf) are not playing in the multimedia macro even though it is supported.

      Environment

      Currently occurring on Confluence 5.9.1-OD-62-023 in Firefox 39.0.3, Safari Version 8.0.7 (10600.7.12) and Chrome Version 44.0.2403.130

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Create a Confluence Page
      2. Upload Flash File (.swf)
      3. Use the Multimedia Macro with the flash file (.swf)

      Expected Results

      The file should play even without autoplay configured

      Actual Results

      Without autoplay selected

      batch.js?jquery.external=true&atlassian.aui.raphael.disabled=true&locale=en-GB&build-number=6138:259 unable to auto size flash - took too long to load
      

      Notes

      Playing the file in Chrome, Firefox, or Safari in another tab renders the flash file correctly so its not the file that is corrupt

      Workaround

      There is currently no workaround

            This issue has been tested as working in 6.1 and 6.4.

            If you are on a version of 6.1 and greater please let us know so we can further investigate the symptoms which might be causing the issue.

            Hey Atlassian Team, 

            Can we please have an update on the progress of this outstanding issue?

            The issue still persists in the vast majority of my Confluence pages. This issue that caused this back in 2015, was the result of changes made by you.

            I look forward to hearing about the progress being made.

            Today marks the 2 year anniversary of this outstanding issue! -(seriously... 2 years??!)

            Could you please advise the community if this issue is ever going to be fixed, or cannot and won't be fixed?  At this point, I does not bother me if the issue cannot be fixed, I just want someone from Atlassian to state this.

            On a personal note, I'm very disappointed at the lack of attentiveness given to this issue; you may note that the ticket is still unassigned (and has been for months). 

            I look forward to hearing back from someone soon with an update.
