Premier Client has been hitting an error: "unable to parse gadget feed" when attempting to subscribe to the full gadget feed for their instance. When subscribing to individual gadgets, they work without issue, but the entire feed could not be added.
Trying a curl request provided some additional information:
WARNING: cannot verify sjc04d1jraap01.teslamotors.com’s certificate, issued by “/C=US/O=Tesla Motors Inc./CN=Tesla Motors Corp Issuing CA”: Unable to locally verify the issuer’s authority.
And a little more here:
curl: (60) Peer certificate cannot be authenticated with known CA certificates More details here: http://curl.haxx.se/docs/sslcerts.html curl performs SSL certificate verification by default, using a "bundle" of Certificate Authority (CA) public keys (CA certs). If the default bundle file isn't adequate, you can specify an alternate file using the --cacert option. If this HTTPS server uses a certificate signed by a CA represented in the bundle, the certificate verification probably failed due to a problem with the certificate (it might be expired, or the name might not match the domain name in the URL). If you'd like to turn off curl's verification of the certificate, use the -k (or --insecure) option.
This makes me think that the either the Certificate in use was not valid, or it was missing a certificate in the chain.
The screen message just said that the "gadget feed URL cannot be parsed" and nothing more. It would be nice if we could gather additional information about the reason that it can not be parsed for our client.
