I gave up on ever getting competent support for this issue. Lately we were asked to migrate our Corporate wiki from one confluence instanse to another. Several tenthousands of pages would need to be copied and pasted according to what the migration project suggested as a method.
Those pages are highly interconnected with links. So a procedure allowing for automatic or at least half-automatic adaptation of tenthousands of links would be essential. But there's no understanding and no movement on Atlassian side.

FWIW: The issue (i.e. non searchable links) exists already at least since Confluence 5.5.7 and according to this thread ( https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-questions/Searching-f%C3%BCr-URL-in-Confluence-Page/qaq-p/100605 ) it was confirmed in 5.5.4 already while working fine in 4.3.7.

As a temporary workaround to search directly through the database, feel free to refer to this KB.

Well, I could still use it many times because of many outgoing links with a very similar pattern. Unfortunately other systems are not able to provide permalinks. Therefore it happens, that many links need to be found and updated.

This is not working in Confluence 5.9 and Confluence 5.10

            Thanks for trying, Tim
in my company there is not even a roadmap to show, when 5.9.1 is going to be available. So I'm very interested, whether this version allows to search for certain strings within URLs.
