            FYI - I've just upgraded to confluence 5.9.3 (from 5.8.13) and I cannot reproduce this issue. Has this been fixed in the latest release?!

            For me this seems to have the same cause as CONF-38319, a general problem with user macros and nesting of other macros.

            For reference, this bug was raised following the creation of this support ticket: CSP-151568.

            • Steps to reproduce:
              • create a page with these macros:
                {no print}
                {section}
                {column} Left Hand Column {column}
                {column} Right Hand Column {column}
                {section}{no print}
              • click "preview" from the editor page. Take note of the screen layout (it's correctly rendered). There are two columns (left and right) with the correct content
              • Save page page and view the rendered content. The saved page looks the same as the preview page - this is the expected result.
              • Edit the same page and add a second set of nested macros (notice tableofContents has been added in this second example):
                 {no print}
                {section}
                {column} Left Hand Column {tableOfContent}{column}
                {column} Right Hand Column {column}
                {section}{no print}
              • click "preview" from the editor page. Take note of the screen layout (it's correctly rendered). in the second nested macro there are two columns (left and right) with the correct content.
              • Save page. and view the rendered content. You will notice the second set of nested macros no longer has two columns (left and right), it now rendered as one column with two rows one above the other. As you can see the preview window renders the second nested macro correctly. the save page renders the second nested cluster incorrectly.
