In Confluence 5.7, if you have permission to view a blog post, but not to edit it, then the delete button doesn't appear for you. (after clicking on the ellipsis)
In pug, and confluence master, in the same situation, the delete button appears, and you can click it, but then you're brought to a slightly strangely formatted page that states 'Not Permitted' 'You are not permitted to perform this operation' with no more information. (and you'd have click back to get to the blog post)
