    • We collect Confluence feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

This is a feature request to allow Confluence and JIRA Portfolio to have compatibility in order to use the Portfolio "Schedule report" for Confluence.

For example, a "JIRA Portfolio Report" macro that would generate the JIRA data according to the Application Links configuration.

[CONFSERVER-37926] Integration between Advanced Roadmaps for Jira and Confluence

            Atlassian Update – 27 March 2023

As of Confluence Data Center and Server 7.20, if you use Advanced Roadmaps in Jira, you can now embed those plans on a Confluence page using the Advanced Roadmaps for Jira in Confluence macro. Create richer project reports to engage stakeholders, and give other teams an up-to-date look at your current progress. When changes are saved to your plan in Advanced Roadmaps, they’ll automatically update on all places where it’s embedded in Confluence. This is another way we're making it easier to connect Jira with Confluence.

            Kind regards,

            Charlie Marriott

            Hey all,

Thanks everyone for sharing your need for this functionality. You may be pleased to hear we've recently released a Confluence Macro that allows you to embed your Portfolio for Jira plan. Keep stakeholders informed of your roadmap by placing it on your Confluence source of truth!

You can read more about this feature in our documentation: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jiraportfolioserver/sharing-roadmaps-960719459.html

It's important to note that this new feature only applies to the improved experience introduced with Portfolio 3.0. There's no plans to introduce this to old 2.0 plans so we're closing this issue.

We'd greatly appreciate your feedback on your experience with this macro and how it could be improved. Feel free to share your thoughts on this ticket or via the in-product 'Give feedback' button.

            Kind regards,

Rhys | PM Portfolio for Jira Server & Data Center

How is this feature not implemented yet. Jira and Confluence are supposed to integrate with each other and without this feature it is nearly impossible to communicate live status to upper management that have no idea of how to use Jira.

We primarily want to display Project Status / Progress Bar, the ability to drill into detail and display gantt view. However, we don't really have a need for a full functioning Portfolio Report from the Confluence side. We recently upgraded and got bit by the clickjacking improvements made in Jira, so it took some time to get the current iframe approach working again.

If you are interested in a simpler view of your projects' status you can use LiveRoadmap. It's an App fo Confluence that provides you with a macro similar to Confluence's macro Roadmap, but with LiveRoadmap you can link your project's bar in your plan with the real project in JIRA.

It would be great to add a Gantt view of a Portfolio Plan and list of issues into Confluence. Executives prefer a presentation view of project status in a clean confluence page rather than bouncing around JIRA/Portfolio/Confluence. Confluence is, of course, a communication/collaboration tool.

You can already embed a view of a Portfolio Plan in a Confluence page using the HTML macro.

Portfolio feels a little half baked without strong Confluence integration,  or even basic integration.

A simple macro to allow a Portfolio view to be embedded would be a huge boon.

I am using an HTML macro and embedding the Portfolio Iframes  into Confluence.  Works well.

I'm honestly shocked this wasn't supported from the get-go. Why would I want to have two separate road maps?
