-
Severity 3 - Minor
Summary
If a new paragraph is added after a task (by hitting enter twice) that had an inline comment added to it, the inline comment will extend to the new paragraph
Steps to Reproduce
- Install Confluence 5.7.4
- Create a page
- Add a line of text to the page and convert it to a task
- Save the page
- Select the text on the page and add an inline comment
- Edit the page
- Place the cursor at the end of the text and hit enter twice to get a new paragraph
- Type however much text you would like
- Save the page
Expected Results
The new paragraph will not be a part of the inline comment
Actual Results
The new paragraph extends the inline comment, when looking at the storage format you will see the new paragraph has the exact same comment marker:
<ac:task-list> <ac:task> <ac:task-id>1</ac:task-id> <ac:task-status>incomplete</ac:task-status> <ac:task-body><span style="background-color: rgb(240,240,240);"><ac:inline-comment-marker ac:ref="ae53e524-26f8-4882-be5f-dafa8578df2a">This is a task</ac:inline-comment-marker></span></ac:task-body> </ac:task> </ac:task-list> <p><span style="background-color: rgb(240,240,240);"><ac:inline-comment-marker ac:ref="ae53e524-26f8-4882-be5f-dafa8578df2a">This is a test</ac:inline-comment-marker></span></p>
Notes
If you then perform the same routine (adding a new paragraph after the paragraph added above) the new paragraph behaves as expected. This seems to only occur after adding text after a task that has an inline comment.
