I had a couple tasks on pages which I deleted instead of checking off because I assumed that deleting them would remove them from my tasks list, or mark them as complete there. However, they still show up in my tasks list. I reverted one of the pages, marked the task complete, saved the page, then deleted the task from the page, but now I have an additional, duplicate incomplete task in my task list. When I try to check them off in my tasks list, I get a red error message that says, "Oops! Your task change couldn't be saved. There could be a few reasons for this." I imagine this is because they no longer exist on those pages so those pages are not able to be updated.

I would like tasks that have been deleted not to show up in my list of incomplete tasks, regardless of whether they have been deleted or not.
