After I tell the editor to insert a new table row below, the PRIMARY selection is replaced as if everything from the beginning of the page were selected; the current PRIMARY selection is obliterated.

      Steps to reproduce (requires windows)

      1. Create a new page
      2. Add some text "This is a test"
      3. Select text
      4. Add a table (3x3) using the editor add table feature
      5. Insert my cursor into the table
      6. Click the add row button on the editor toolbar and confirm that a new row is generated
      7. Paste the previously copied text
      8. Observe that the text that has been pasted is the same as that which i had previously copied

[CONFSERVER-35936] Inserting a new row below modifies the PRIMARY selection

            3. I do not copy text, I select it.
            7. I do not paste copied text, I paste the contents of the PRIMARY selection.
            8. Observe that the text that has been pasted is different from the text I previously selected.

Thanks for the update and clarification on this Christopher. I'm currently unable to reproduce this issue on the latest version of Confluence. These are the steps that I'm taking:

            1. Create a new page
            2. Add some text "This is a test"
            3. Select text
            4. Add a table (3x3) using the editor add table feature
            5. Insert my cursor into the table
            6. Click the add row button on the editor toolbar and confirm that a new row is generated
            7. Paste the previously copied text
            8. Observe that the text that has been pasted is the same as that which i had previously copied

Would you be able to confirm that these are the same steps that you are taking to generate this issue?

The PRIMARY selection is a global property of a graphical user interface. It is owned by one client and the user can paste its contents to other clients connected to the same display.
I am using Mozilla Firefox 34.0.

            Hi krzysztof.zelechowski

thanks for taking the time to raise this issue. Could you clarify a couple of points for me. First could you let me know what you mean by primary selection and second could you confirm for me which browser you are using (including version if you know it). This will help us to better recreate this issue.

            Regards
