Confluence 5.6.4 uploading images in IE issue

In Confluence 5.6.4 you cannot upload images into a page that you are editing in IE.

Steps to recreate:

• In IE edit a Confluence page
• Click on Insert and select Image
• In the Attached Images section click on the Upload Images button
• Locate the picture from your computer and click on Open
• ISSUE: You will taken back to the Insert Image screen and the picture you thought had just been uploaded does not appear in the list.

We are using IE9 and Confluence 5.6.4
