When you create a page in confluence, you choose an existing template blueprint and creates the page afterwards.
This improvement would allow users to change an existing page layout to use another blueprint template even if the page already exists.

I think you should reconsider, or at least provide a workaround for the following use case: we have a lot of people generating accidental how-to articles, and they keep ending up in root pages that list all articles and everything links to everything thanks to the "similar to" heuristics.
My work around is this: create a new page, copy all the content, fix all the incoming links. Why can't this be automated?
