"Insert row after" works only the first time

When making a table, "Insert row after" button works as expected. But after inserting some rows, editing more content, filling in text, etc., if the same button is clicked again to insert more rows, nothing happens. I have to save the document, then go back to editing it by clicking the Edit button, and only then press the Insert row after button again to insert more rows.
