      Reproduction:

      1. Log into Confluence
      2. Create new page and place text in place.
      3. insert a user-macro and attempt to use inline text
      4. save page
      5. review page the macro does not display the content inline but under the macro instead.

      -Confirmed feature is functional on Confluence 5.6.3

            [CONFSERVER-35125] User Macro not using inline text feature.

            Thanks for taking the time to raise this issue. As you have confirmed that this issue is functional in 5.6.3 I'm going to close this out as obsolete. As per our patch policy https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/Support/Atlassian+Patch+Policy for issues such as this we'd not provide a patch preferring that customers upgrade their instances instead.
