Windows 8.1 64 bit, Intel i7 chipset, 16gb ram, Java 7 Update 67 (64-bit)
I am attempting to evaluate Confluence 5.6 using Windows 64 bit trial installer. I follow the recommended settings and the Confluence application is set up on my box. Launching in my browser, I see the Confluence set up screen, but when I try to request a trial license, I find the entire application has hung and is non-responsive. The service will not respond and killing and restarting it leaves it in an unresponsive state (web pages load forever, the setup screen is inaccessible)
After uninstalling, restarting, and reinstalling, I tried opening the setup page in a different browser and discovered that every time I refreshed the page I was greeted with a tomcat error:
Error creating bean with name 'i18NBean' defined in class path resource [i18NContext.xml]: Instantiation of bean failed
I've attached the entire stack to this issue.
I have reproduced this issue on two of two machines I've tried.
I do not have this issue while working with a trial of Jira.
Please notify me on potential fix for this or if new installers become available as this prevents me from trying the product
