I get an "application with id 'null' not found" after creating an application link between confluence and jura.

These are the steps:
-) My application links in confluence are empty.
-) When I create a link to my jira instance I get redirected to jira and back to confluence. So for so good
-) after the link is created and the application links page refreshes in confluence I see the link and an error message "application with id 'null' is not found"

I checked issue https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-33908 and it states that I should create an issue. So here it is.

jira version = 6.2.7
confluence version = 5.5.6
