Confluence link macro only accept valid URI link and it is currently not possible to add non-standard protocols such as javascript as a link. When user try to insert such protocol into the link field, Confluence will accept the input but render the link as plaintext making it non click-able
Possible Implementation
Confluence should be able to catch non-standard protocols and provide a meaningful error with workaround such as adding the link through HTML macro.
