    Description

NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      Steps to replicate

      1. Create a new page
      2. Insert Attachments Macro
      3. Save page
      4. Upload files (such as PDF or DOC) in the page by 'drag and drop' with the file name:
        • 6 Six.pdf
        • 7 Seven.pdf
        • 8 Eight.pdf
        • 9 Nine.pdf
        • 10 Ten.pdf
        • 11 Eleven.pdf
      5. Sort the Attachments Macro by File name Ascending

      Observed behaviour
The attachments list will have the following sequence:

      10 Ten.pdf
      11 Eleven.pdf
      6 Six.pdf
      7 Seven.pdf
      8 Eight.pdf
      9 Nine.pdf

      Expected Behaviour
The attachments list should have the following sequence:

      6 Six.pdf
      7 Seven.pdf
      8 Eight.pdf
      9 Nine.pdf
      10 Ten.pdf
      11 Eleven.pdf

      Workaround
Leading zeroes (e.g. 06) can be used to make alphabetical order work correctly. In other words, while 6 is larger than 10 in alpahabetical order, 06 is smaller than 10.
