The Confluence Windows installer creates a service with incorrect JVM arguments

XMLWordPrintable

      In Confluence's setenv.bat file:

      set CATALINA_OPTS=%CATALINA_OPTS% -Xms1024m -Xmx1024m -XX:MaxPermSize=256m -XX:+UseG1GC
      set CATALINA_OPTS=%CATALINA_OPTS% -Djava.awt.headless=true
      set CATALINA_OPTS=%CATALINA_OPTS% -Xloggc:"%atlassian_logsdir%\gc-%atlassian_timestamp%.log"
      set CATALINA_OPTS=%CATALINA_OPTS% -XX:+UseGCLogFileRotation -XX:NumberOfGCLogFiles=5 -XX:GCLogFileSize=2M
      set CATALINA_OPTS=%CATALINA_OPTS% -XX:-PrintGCDetails -XX:+PrintGCTimeStamps -XX:-PrintTenuringDistribution

      In a 5.6.1 instance that was running as a service created by the installer:

      jvmInputArguments = -Dcatalina.base=C:\Program Files\Atlassian\Confluence -Dcatalina.home=C:\Program Files\Atlassian\Confluence -Djava.endorsed.dirs=C:\Program Files\Atlassian\Confluence\endorsed -Djava.io.tmpdir=C:\Program Files\Atlassian\Confluence\temp -XX:MaxPermSize=256m -Djava.util.logging.manager=org.apache.juli.ClassLoaderLogManager -Djava.util.logging.config.file=C:\Program Files\Atlassian\Confluence\conf\logging.properties exit -Xms256m -Xmx512m
