Unable to Display JIRA Issue Macro By Highlighting a Hyperlink Text

      NOTE: This bug report is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding bug report.

      Unable to display a newly created JIRA Issue Macro with Error <JIRAISSUE> has been created, but there is a problem in adding it to the page. You can manually add it later using JIRA macro. by highlighting a Hyperlink text

      Steps to replicate

      1. Ensure Confluence is connected to JIRA and at least one project is created in JIRA
      2. Create a new Confluence page
      3. Type a sample word (e.g.: Type "Hyperlink")
      4. Highlight the word in Step 3
      5. Click on 'Link' at the formatting panel
      6. Select 'Web Link', set the address to any site (e.g: set it to http://www.google.com), and click save
      7. Save the page
      8. Highlight the word created in Step 3 (highlight the whole word)
      9. Click JIRA Icon and attempt to create a JIRA issue
      10. This warning appears and the JIRA issue macro is not included in the page:

            Thank you for your interest in this ticket. The Confluence Server and Data Center team released a major upgrade to the editor in 6.14. Due to the age of this ticket and/or lack of updates, we suspect that this issue is no longer relevant or was resolved as a result of the upgrade and are now closing this ticket.
