'Insert Symbol' does not work with Internet Explorer 11

      Standalone installation bundle with Tomcat 7.0.47, JDK 1.7.0_65
      OS Linux 2.6.18-371.4.1.el5

      We have installed Confluence 5.5.3 under developer licence.
      In Internet Explorer 11 (Standard Mode - Edge) it's not possible to insert a symbol with the Rich Text Editor.

      By clicking the Insert - Symbol the Symbol window is empty. Works fine with Firefox latest.
