When using IE 11, the Insert > Symbol function results in a plain white box with no content. IE 9 Firefox and Chrome all produce the expected set of symbols for selection.

      Resolution

Upgrade to Confluence 5.8.16 or newer.

            Hi Chandrakanth,

Can you let me know what version of Confluence you are using so we can try and reproduce the issue you're having with Firefox? Also are you using any zoom level? Or standard zoom? Does pressing Ctrl+0 fix it?

            Thanks,
            Niraj

Works fine in IE 11. However, the last line of symbols gets stripped in Firefox.

This issue was fixed in Confluence 5.8.16 and manual verification shows that it no longer happens in both 5.8.16 and 6.2.1. For users who are still experiencing this problem on Confluence 5.8.16 and above, please send us console logs of the Internet Explorer 11 developer tools to help us diagnose the issue. Press F12 to launch the developer tools before trying to reproduce the issue, then send us the console logs.

It may be caused by your own proxy or reverse proxy settings I heard.
Opening a Support case is the best option to get it solved.
At least, this is what I'm doing
If I can share the result, I will.

When will there be a fix for this?

Please re-open this issue since the issue is not fixed properly for all browsers (now the last line gets stripped on Firefox)!

We are running Confluence 5.8.16 and we noticed the issue is resolved in IE11. However, in Firefox 38.4.0 all the symbols are not displayed. The last line is being cut of.
Please re open this issue and provide the fix for Firefox as well.
