Can't Edit Page in IE 11

    • Confluence 5.5; Windows 7; IE 11 (Version: 11.0.9600.16428);

      Steps to Reproduce:

      1. Create a Page in IE 11 (Version: 11.0.9600.16428).
      2. Edit Page.
      3. Save.
      4. Edit Page Again.
      5. Internet Explorer has Stopped Working.
      6. Click on Close the Program.
      7. Edit Page Again.
      8. Save.
      9. IE Stopped Working Again.

      Expected Results:

      IE Should save the page every time.

      Actual Results:

      IE Stopped working.

      Findings:

      If repeat mentioned procedures several times, page will redirect to this URL res://ieframe.dll/acr_error.htm#,http://localhost:8555/conf/display/SPACEKEY/TESTPAGE and following error appears:

      Workaround

      Update IE11 to a version equal to or greater than: 11.0.96000.16438.

            It could be issue of default document mode "Edge (Default)" as if it is used a mode "10" it seems it is possible to edit a page then or at least to get to page for editing. So to my understanding it should be confluence setup to apply other mode in Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 as possible other workaround. May be it could be somehow fix (as temporary) by Enterprise mode, but generally I think that should be fixed on Atlassian side.
