I've read through the documentation page of "working with tables" and notice this comes up often. It would be enormously helpful to give the ability to adjust column widths without having to pre-define their size using wiki markup, which is cumbersome. This is a big drawback for us in our Confluence instance - we use tables often and they frequently look totally wonky.

            Wohoo! Great news!

Great finding Dough! That was a good sanity check for me So Atlassian. You stated at the summit that it is "coming soon". Soon for me would be within 6 months. When can we expect this?

Adjusting the table width was something that was showed to me in the Atlassian summit and it was one of the most appreciated new features by the audience. The introduction for this feature by the presenter was something like.
"-We listened to you and here it is.". Followed by applause by everyone.
It's very unfortunate that status of this feature has now changed to "We do not have any plans to implement this in the foreseeable future"
