Office Connector not working in Firefox 29 and IE 11

    • Standalone Confluence 3.3.3 on Linux.
      We are using Win7 64-bit as the OS for employees.

    Description

      NOTE: This bug report is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding bug report.

      The "Edit document" button found when displaying an Excel or Word document is not working anymore in Firefox 29 or IE 11.
      It was never compatible with Chrome.

      We had no problem using the feature when Firefox 28 and Internet Explorer 10 were the current versions.

      I saw that you have CONF-33469 open for similar issues but only for newer versions of Confluence.

      We are running version 3.3.3 and updating is not an option for our IT team.
