Symptoms
When setting up application links between JIRA and Confluence, the application link is automatically set to the base url, and after configuring can not be changed any more.
In the application link configuration screen it is possible to change the display url of the application link, but not the application url.
The display url should/could always be the base url, where as the application url should be adjustable to configure the local addresses on which the instances communicate with each other.
Used in test setup: JIRA 6.1.7 applinks 4.0.9
Workaround
The current workaround is to set the BaseURL of the applications to the URL you want to create the link with, then create the link. The Application URL for both applications will be their BaseURL. You can then set the BaseURL back to the correct user-facing URL, and edit the Display URL of the application link.
The behaviour is present in Applinks 4.0. You can see the versions of our software that contain Applinks 4.0 here.
