Application link persists after being removed

      Confluence 5.4.1; Standalone with JDK provided in standalone package; and CentOS release 6.4.
      Client: OS X 10.9.1, Safari 7.0.1

      In Confluence, add an application link to JIRA and save the page. The link appears at the top of the Confluence page as expected.

      Edit the page, remove the link, save the page. The same link is still there at the top of the Confluence page.
