5.4.2
Sorting a Page Macro Report by the "title" of the report does not provide a consistent result. I have a set of pages with properties that I wanted rolled up to a Report. These pages are documenting Release information and their titles have version number notation in them:
- Release 7.10.1
- Release 11.9
- Release 11.10
- Release 12.2
- Release 14.0
If I do not set a "Sort By" value in the Report macro, then I get a random result (because of last edited by date). If I click on the header column in the Report (while viewing the page), then this sorts as expected (per the list above). But if I set the "Sort By" value to "title" (which I believe is the way to sort by the titles of the pages, then I get them in true alphabetical order (see below), which is different than if I click on the column. I would expect that clicking the columns or setting a sort by field would result in the same result (and I prefer the mechanism that clicking the column has).
True alphabetical order
- Release 11.10
- Release 11.9
- Release 12.2
- Release 14.0
- Release 7.10.1
