Hey - we're upgrading to Confluence 5.8 from 5.6.1, and one of the top features we were happy about was the new integrated PDF file viewer released at 5.7
We have used the View File Macro extensively throughout our Wiki (hundreds of pages), but at some point it began to be buggy enough to be nearly unusable—usually displaying broken image links. A typical page for us would look like this: http://recordit.co/BoNkuRkI3d
Now we have installed 5.8 on our QA server before deploying, and testing has shown that the View File Macro has had no change - it appears to have no integration with the new PDF viewing features.
We're at a loss. Is the only solution to manually re-edit every page in the entire instance and remove the broken macro and display the PDF in another way? There must be a better solution for this.
This has the effect of making the new features invisible to our users.
Thanks for your attention!
