As we have a lot of projects that are constantly created, I want to improve our home template.
My goal was to have links to create templates of the different documents that are required for each project, and then include that excerpt or page into the space home page template.
For example:
You create a project in JIRA. That JIRA project creates a space in Confluence titled the same as the project. Lets call it Project Cheese.
That confluence project uses the global template, and creates a page.
On that page, it would include a link to create a template for the other pages needed (scope, content needs, etc...).
Clicking that button would create a page for that template in the space that page is currently in, i.e. space: Cheese.
With that document created, an on the Cheese homepage would insert the page into that page based on the name of the newly created page (i.e. Scope) that is in that space (Cheese).
Right now, I almost have this with Confluence, but then it goes worthless.
You can have a link to create a template, but it always goes to the same location (Space: TrashHeap), and NOT the location of the space the link is coming from (Cheese).
Similar, the insert page contents can only exist from an existing page, and not a page that is to be created.
I want to be able to have a button to create a doc based on a template, in the same space I am in right now, and to have that page, or an excerpt of that page that will be created, automatically added to the space page I am in right now.
