Steps to Reproduce:

1. Create a group and user with the same name
2. Create a page and attempt to restrict viewing to the group you just created via the input field:

Expected Results:
The group should be shown under 'Viewing restricted to:'

Actual Results:
The user is added instead of the group.

Workaround:
Add the group via the group selection popup.
