Mail queue can fail to flush automatically

      In certain situations, the mail queue can fail to automatically process any of the mail items in its queue. With debug logging enabled for com.atlassian.quartz.jobs, the following message will appear in the logs:

      Task queue: mail was already being flushed - skipped this time

      No more output is given. Restarting will restore the queue to correct operation, but will lose all mail queued (since Confluence does not persist its mail queue).

      Workaround

      Navigate to Admin > Mail Queue and select Flush Mail Queue
